Yashica N. Reyes Marrero is a dedicated social worker and English lecturer renowned for her innovative approach to integrating theory with real-world social issues. With a deep commitment to empowering individuals, Yashica fosters critical thinking and empathy among her students, helping them achieve their goals and dreams.

She holds an MA degree in Social Work with a concentration on family dynamics and social services management and a BA degree in Psychology, both from the University of Puerto Rico, USA. Also, she completed a Psychology exchange program at the University of Salamanca, Spain, where she studied the Italian language. Combining her social work and education expertise, she founded an NGO dedicated to social innovation that connected college students with various corporations to empower youth through their talent to make a significant difference in the quality of life of children in need. 

She was honored with the prestigious Critical Language Scholarship from the United States government to study the Turkish language in Ankara. Additionally, she is certified in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Teaching English to Young Learners, Developing and Teaching Academic Writing, and TESOL Methods.
