Güven graduated from Hacettepe University from the department of English Language and Literature in 2008. Right after graduation she started teaching at Afyon Kocatepe University as a lecturer following a three-month teacher training program at the same university. Then she continued her career as an English teacher at Ted College, where she worked for four years. Guven also worked at İstek Yeditepe College between 2012-2013. Guven has been working at SSUA since 2013.
