Öner Solak completed her undergraduate degree at Gazi University, Faculty of Education, Department of English Language Teaching. She completed her master's degree in Western Languages ​​and Literature and Applied Linguistics at Karadeniz Technical University. She completed Sociology doctorate program at Eskişehir University. Between 2003 and 2008, she worked as an English teacher at high schools of Ministry of National Education. She worked as an English instructor at Celal Bayar University between 2008-2013. She has been working as an English lecturer at Ankara Social Sciences University since 2013.
