Nevfel Baytar received his BA from English Language Teaching Department from Middle East Technical University.  He completed his master's degree at Ankara University, Foreign Language Education on "Comparison of the Readability Scores of the Test Takers in English Proficiency Examinations and Academic Turkish Examinations". He worked as an advisor to the rector at the Social Sciences University of Ankara, and served as the director of the School of Foreign Languages and the chairperson of DİLMER (Language Education,  Application and Research Center).  He, respectively, worked for Ankara University TÖMER (TOEFL and IELTS instructor), Bilkent University, Faculty of Humanities and Letters (lecturer - teaching Critical Reading and Writing Courses) Karaca Language School (language instructor teaching Translation, TOEFL, Composition), Muscat Technical College for Higher Education (lecturer), Başkent University (ESP instructor in Engineering and Medical English and ad the EAP coordinator for the sophomore groups), Yıldırım Beyazıt University (assistant director responsible for EAP programs in 8 faculties), Ipek University (International Exams Centre Coordinator and TOEFL TCA - Test Center Administrator) again for  İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University as a Preparatory School instructor at Pre-Faculty Level) and as the department chairman and language school director (with 50 teachers including14 international instructors, two Prep Schools at 4 levels in two different languages, offering elective courses in 10 different languages and offering course to around 700 students) at Social Sciences University of Ankara now.  He holds many certificates and diplomas and training certificates, such as CertELT, DipELT, (former names for CELTA and DELTA) OUP ELT Management, British Council Teacher Training Diplomas and Pearson Teacher Training Certificates.  Nevfel Baytar, who has been actively teaching English at upper intermediate and advanced levels since 1993, has participated in various national and international conferences as a speaker and participant, and lectured in many different ministries, public institutions and private institutions, and also worked as the program coordinator for the local governors of Turkish Ministry of Home Office. He coordinated the ALTE Application Process of the Yunus Emre Institute as an advisor. He has also chaired the executive board of directors at tertiary level Preparatory Schools in Turkey and he was the founding member of the Language Accreditation Committee of Turkey. 
Nevfel Baytar is a single father and has a son.
