Koçak graduated from METU, FLE department in July 2009. She worked for Çankırı Karatekin University for four years after graduation. Meanwhile, she completed her MA degree at METU English Literature programme. Since 2013, she has been working for Social Sciences University of Ankara. Among her academic interests, there are Assessment and Evaluation, Curriculum Development and English Literature.
